Tubular heat exchangers
The tubular exchanger is used in the wine industry for cooling of musts after pressing. The cooling medium is ice water. For higher efficiency, the tubes can be supplemented with insulation.
Maintenance of the correct must temperature is very important for correct fermentation and additional cooling of fermentation is frequently the decisive factor for the quality of the final product. Flow cooling is the solution. Must is being already cooled when draught into the tank. Must passes the system of pipe exchanger that reliably cools the must up to the required temperature. Must is thus already cooled when flowing into the tank and the correct fermentation can run.
