Straining tank - TYPE SC
Straining tank for grapes is a standing circular tank with V-shaped bottom. The tank is adjusted for installation on the steel construction over the grape press.
The bottom of the tank is V-shaped. A screw conveyor is placed in the bottom part for the removal of the drained thresher. For the discharge of the mash, the strainer is equipped with an opening with a circular door and a cover against splashing of the mash. A straining basket made of perforated sheet metal is placed in the centre of the strainer. The must is drained by a pipe at the bottom of the strainer. The straining tank can be supplemented with a floating lid for airtight closure and cooling plates for cooling the thresher.
